Dental Office Manager Schedule:

Monday through Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm with 1 hour lunch

Office Manager Job Summary

 

Within the Star Dental Partners (SDP) affiliated network of dental practices, the Dental Office Manager (OM) is responsible for monitoring and managing the operations of a single location. The Office Manager will focus on executing numerous operational tasks in their dental practice with the goal of enhancing practice level efficiencies and growth in conjunction with the SDP support team and the primary dentist of the practice. The Office Manager works closely with the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to drive a positive team culture and achieve positive practice results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and a positive patient experience 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families, resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance goals and deliver consistent patient care
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), Profit & Loss (P&L) management, track metrics, and implement improvements based on data analysis
  • Coordinate with clinical team and providers to ensure schedule optimization and seamless patient flow
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient accounts, billing, and insurance processing
  • Build strong relationships with patients, staff, and third-party partners to support practice growth and reputation
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Accounts Payable (AP) management
  • Time & Attendance management
  • Payroll process management
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3 years of dental office management or equivalent experience
• Proficient in dental performance management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.)

• Strong understanding of marketing strategies, platforms, tools and metrics
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word)
• Solid understanding of P&L management (budgeting)
• Comprehensive understanding ability to enforce current labor laws
• Adhere to current regulatory agency guidelines (OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, etc.)

 

Work Environment/Conditions
• Ability to maintain a full-time employment schedule approximately 40 hours per week; extended hours may be requested or required
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous objects and/or materials
• Ability to wear appropriate work attire as needed or required
