MoreSmiles Dental Spa is now hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant in the Greater Mandeville Area! 

 

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our community of collaborative, high-quality clinical, business and operations professionals.

 

Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • Welcomes patients
  • Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
  • Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
  • Instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • Maintains accurate patient records
  • Lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain clean and stocked operatories

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant training/school certification 
  • 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience required
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and OSHA/sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with digital software: intraoral scanners, CBCT, must be able to make a temp crown

     Strong Communication Skills

    • Able to clearly explain procedures to patients.

    • Communicates effectively with dentists, hygienists, and office staff.

    • Listens actively and responds empathetically to patients’ concerns.

    Attention to Detail

    • Ensures proper sterilization of instruments.

    • Accurately takes and records patient information.

    • Follows dental procedures precisely.

    Positive, Compassionate and Empathetic

    • Helps patients feel at ease, especially those who are anxious or in pain.

    • Shows understanding and patience in dealing with different personalities.

    Organizational Skills

    • Keeps the dental operatory clean and well-stocked.

    • Manages scheduling and documentation efficiently.

    • Balances multiple tasks without missing details.

    Manual Dexterity

    • Assists during procedures with steady hands and precise instrument handling.

    • Works comfortably in small spaces within a patient’s mouth.

    Professionalism

    • Maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA regulations.

    • Dresses appropriately and represents the dental office with a positive demeanor.

    Dependability and Punctuality

    • Shows up on time and can be relied upon for consistency in daily responsibilities.

    Technical Proficiency

    • Familiar with dental software, x-rays, suction devices, and sterilization tools.

    • Understands dental terminology and procedures.

    Willingness to Learn

    • Keeps up with continuing education and industry changes.

    • Open to feedback and continuously looks to improve skills.

    Team Player

    • Collaborates well with the dental team.

    • Supports coworkers and contributes to a positive work environment.
