Overview

Star Dental Partners (SDP) is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Payment Poster to join our high-growth and fast-paced Dental Service Organization (DSO). This position will interact with insurance companies to follow-up on open claims, process patient insurance refunds and primarily post payments. In this role, the payment poster will interpret insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) statements to post the payments to open patient insurance claims in the practice management software. Additionally, necessary adjustments to claims to ensure the ledger accurately reflects the insurance EOB's will also be required. Payment posting for multiple office locations will be required and insurance credentialing knowledge is a strong preference.  

 

 

The revenue cycle payment poster is a full time hourly position with the following benefits offered:

Responsibilities

Payment Posting (primary responsibility) & Accounts Receivable

  • Enter payments and adjustments at the Provider level with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Collect and review all required patient insurance information to complete the billing, collections, appeal, and/or cash processes.
  • Assist in performing day end and month end processing.

Claims Appeals & Denials

  • Process dental insurance EOBs, appeals, denials, and following up with denial resolutions appropriately.
  • Research and resolve any electronic claim rejections.
  • Process any necessary insurance or patient correspondence.
  • Independently analyze, report, and communicate any reimbursement trends or delays, such as billing denials, claim denials, pricing errors, payments, etc.

*Perform other duties as required to support the Revenue Cycle department.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1 year experience as a revenue cycle insurance coordinator within the dental industry preferred
  • 2 years of collections, accounts receivable, and/or related experience within healthcare required
  • Experience in Practice Management Software (PMS) required

 

Work Conditions

  • Preference to candidates who are able to commute to the Plano, TX office four days weekly, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are virtual.
  • Ability to maintain a full-time employment schedule of approximately 40 hours per week; extended hours may be requested or required.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Our experienced Support Center team assists dentists with management of non-clinical staffing and human resources, finance and payroll administration, marketing, payor relations, supplies and capital equipment procurement, as well as information systems. With experience and dedicated support from professional management, dental offices are free to focus their attention on providing patient care.
