We’re Hiring: Full Time Dental Assistant – St. Augustine, FL

Matanzas Dental Group, a well-respected, fee-for-service practice in beautiful St. Augustine, FL, is seeking a seasoned Dental Assistant to join our incredible team. You’ll be supporting two amazing general cosmetic dentists and a highly respected periodontist in a busy, modern environment where teamwork and positivity and quality of care matter.

 

Full Time Dental Assistant Schedule

Tuesday through Friday 7:45 - 5:00pm

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist chairside with confidence and efficiency in general dentistry procedures
  • Keep the day flowing — think air traffic controller meets patient care expert
  • Make patients feel seen, heard, and supported from start to finish
  • Help manage the schedule and treatment flow with intention and flexibility
  • Work collaboratively with doctors and the team in a fully digital workflow

 

Who You Are:

  • An experienced Dental Assistant with at least 3 years of clinical experience
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-obsessed (in the best way)
  • A team player who brings good energy and adapts easily to change
  • Passionate about great dentistry and even better patient care
  • Familiar with digital charting (Dentrix or Denticon experience is a plus)
  • This is primarily a general assisting role, but surgical experience is a bonus!

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • Welcomes patients
  • Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
  • Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
  • Instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • Maintains accurate patient records
  • Lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain clean and stocked operatories

Qualifications

  • An experienced Dental Assistant with at least 3 years of clinical experience
